Frames

Fishing Artworks offers full service framing for your one-of-a-kind saltwater or freshwater fish portrait. Below are a few of the moldings that have been hand selected by the artist for their quality, simplicity, and compatibility with fish portraits, watercolors, and oil paintings.

Standard sizes are readily available and in stock. In addition, frames can be built to fit portraits of any size.  Frames come with scratch resistant UV glazing, backing and hanging hardware. The 5x5 and 4x6 frames can come with a velvet easel back or hanger. The larger sizes come ready to hang.

Custom mat sizes and colors are also available.

THE FRAMES

Rustic Frame Collection
Frames in this collection are solid wood with a dark brown/black distressed finish.
Molding comes in three widths: 1 ¼” wide x ¾” deep, 2” wide x 1” deep, and 3 1/2” wide x 1 ½”deep

Rustic Frames are available in three widths		There is also a rustic ¾” liner that goes nicely with these moldings.

Modern Frame Collection

Frames in this collection are made of solid wood and come in either black or brown. Frames come with scratch resistant UV glazing to protect the artwork.

Options for width:

Thin: 5/8” wide x ½” deep. Standard molding for the 5x5 and the 4x6 watercolors and prints.
Med: 1 1/8” wide x 5/8” deep. Standard molding for the 5x7 and the 8x10 watercolors and prints.
Thick: 1 5/8” wide x 5/8” deep. Standard molding for 11x14 and 16x20 watercolors and prints.

Mats: The mats used are made from 100% acid free cotton archival museum rag. The mats are hinged which means that the front mat is hinged to a solid backing mat. The artwork is sandwiched between these two mats for ultimate safety and preservation of the artwork.
